学生荣誉和行为准则

The 蓝色的field State College Student Honor Code and 学生的行为 Code provide extensive guidelines on conduct for students attending the college. Students in the 荣誉学院 are held to the high standards detailed by these codes and are expected to epitomize ethical and responsible conduct. Honors students should generally value academic integrity, 道德行为, 多样性, 尊重他人.

Any violations of these codes above for which you take responsibility, 或者你应该为此负责, may be grounds for dismissal from the 荣誉学院. This will be determined on a case-by-case basis by the Honors College Advisory Committee, 或者在需要的时候, 与学生事务处合作. Any infractions of the above policies or codes that result in the student being formally censured, 被大学停学, or banned from the campus are grounds for immediate dismissal from the 荣誉学院.

试用期和解雇政策

Probation is meant to serve as a warning that students are in danger of being dismissed from the 荣誉学院. While on probation, they will not lose any of the privileges extended to them as Honors students. All students placed on probation are required to schedule a meeting with the 荣誉学院 Director to develop an action plan to improve their academic performance and/or other student conduct.

If an 荣誉学院 student’s cumulative GPA falls below the required minimum of 3.25, s/he will be placed on probation with the 荣誉学院. (First-year students will not be placed on Honors probation during their first academic year at the College but will receive a warning email if their cumulative GPA falls below 3.25). 成绩低于3分的学生.25 cumulative GPA and remain so for two subsequent full-time semesters will be dismissed from the 荣誉学院. Students will be removed from the probationary status once their GPA reaches a 3.25日再次. If, after the probationary period ends, a student’s cumulative GPA remains below 3.他/她将被荣誉学院开除. 学生必须得3分.25 cumulative GPA at the time of graduation to complete the 荣誉学院 program with honorific designation on their diploma and transcript.

Students who do not take any Honors-enhanced classes for two consecutive semesters (including future semesters) and/or are off-track with their Honors requirements may be subject to probation and will be required to meet with the Honors Director to discuss future Honors coursework.

Students who do not annually fulfill the extra-curricular enrichment program Honors Point requirements are subject to probation.

留校察看的学生, 或者被解雇, will receive an e-mail from the Director of the 荣誉学院 providing further details and any applicable next steps. Any student dismissed from the 荣誉学院 will be informed in writing by the Director of the 荣誉学院. A student who has been dismissed from the 荣誉学院 will not be allowed to enroll in 荣誉学院 courses and will not be eligible for Honors housing.

可以对解雇决定提出上诉, 如果需要, to an ad hoc three-person grievance subcommittee composed of two members of the 荣誉学院 Advisory Committee and one official from the Student Advisory Board or Office of Student Affairs.

退出政策

Students who are withdrawn due to external medical emergency (ex: months-long hospital care) may apply for reinstatement into the 荣誉学院 after meeting with the Honors Director and devising a mutually agreed upon plan of study to complete the Honors requirements. Students who do not complete this plan of study may be withdrawn permanently from the 荣誉学院.

Students who voluntarily wish to withdraw from the 荣誉学院 should contact the Director as well as complete the 荣誉学院 Exit Form. Any student who has received the Honors scholarship opts to voluntarily withdraw will not be required to repay the Honors scholarship. 然而, these students will not be eligible to receive the 荣誉学院 scholarship again in the future.

For completion of the 荣誉学院 curriculum and honorific designation on their diploma, students must successfully complete all honors college core courses with a B grade or higher starting from their program entry year (freshman or sophomore). They furthermore must annually complete all required Honors Points for extra-curricular enrichment. 在毕业前, they must also complete their honors-enhanced course requirements, 高级荣誉项目, and the internship/study-abroad/service learning project (as per the student’s advisor or academic program).
